Fiona Marinelli
Fiona Marinelli started dancing at Orlandi Dance Center when she was 2 years old and has loved being part of the Orlandi Dance family ever since. During her time at Orlandi, Fiona has taken classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, and hip-hop. She has performed in ABC's Christmas Day Parade in Walt Disney World as a guest cast member along with the Broadway cast of Newsies, and has trained at various workshops and at Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Outside of Orlandi, Fiona also competitively Irish Danced and competed at the World Championships multiple times with the McDade-Cara School of Irish Dance. After graduating high school, Fiona attended The Pennsylvania State University where she not only received a B.S. in Health Policy & Administration and a minor in Spanish, but also continued her dance education by earning a Minor in Dance Studies. As part of the dance program, she took courses in a wide range of styles including ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, tap, West African, Broadway theater, anatomy for performers, and massage and dance recovery. While at PSU, Fiona was also part of the University Dance Company, a member of Rince Na Leon: Penn State's Irish Dance Society, and participated in Penn State's Dance MaraTHON (THON). Fiona believes that dance has so many benefits that extend beyond the physical body – including increased confidence, creativity, self-discipline, determination and an emotional outlet for improved mental health.
